1.4.8-r64
CurrentSharper skills, and you choose which ones run.
- Skills are picked from your project's own files and dependencies, not a guessed stack.
- Hosted skills are downloaded with sha256 verification, and if the download fails crenya ai keeps working offline from the last good copy.
- A skill you add locally now overrides a hosted skill with the same name.
- New: a Skills subtab in settings, where you can turn off any individual skill.
- The bundled testctl tool has been removed.
1.4.8-r63
Review my changes, a clearer status bar and safer defaults.
- New: Review my changes — a structured review of your uncommitted, staged or branch changes: a summary, a walkthrough, and findings by severity with one-click fixes. Explanations in English, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu or Arabic.
- New: the status bar shows exactly what you are on — full quality, Unlimited time left, slow mode, or when it resets.
- New: crenya ai works in one window at a time per account. If you open it elsewhere, this window pauses with a Continue here button.
- Voice: Indian languages are recognised automatically, and recording stops at 2 minutes and transcribes.
- Safer by default: a repository you open can no longer run commands, read your sign-in or read files outside the project without asking. Web search is now opt-in, and the privacy notice is updated.
- Fixes: clearer error messages; autocomplete works from the first run; more reliable sign-in and sign-out; the agent no longer hangs or gets stuck busy; restoring a checkpoint can no longer lose work; Windows file locks fixed; codebase search no longer says no code was found when it did not run.
1.4.8-r62
Windows and Linux, and codebase search that works.
- crenya ai for Windows (beta, x64) and Linux (x64: .deb, .rpm and .tar.gz).
- Codebase indexing (@codebase) works: the code parsers it needs now ship with the app. Earlier builds were missing them.
- The agent's sandbox helper ships on every platform, and Linux gets the bundled bubblewrap sandbox.
- Remote-SSH to Linux servers works: the server package it installs is now published.
- The welcome page, Report Issue and the download links no longer point at VSCodium.
- Voice input — the mic button — works again.
- Help → About shows the right build date on macOS.
1.4.8-r61
Paste blocks, turn times and a faster app.
- A large paste collapses into a [Pasted ~N lines] block in the prompt; the full text is still sent.
- Each finished answer shows the time it finished and how long it took.
- History loads older sessions on demand with Load more, instead of stopping at 100.
- A dropped connection to the assistant is retried, and a permission approval interrupted by it recovers instead of leaving the buttons stuck.
- A smaller, faster app: the assistant ships as a production build.
1.4.8-r60
Security fixes.
- Agent, command and skill files in a project you open can no longer run code when they are read. Frontmatter is parsed as YAML only, and a malformed file can no longer stall the assistant.
- Security updates to the libraries the assistant and the chat panel use.
- Get Unlimited in the limit message and in Profile opens your account's plan page. It used to open the crenya.ai home page and offer credit top-ups, which are no longer sold.
1.4.8-r59
crenya ai Unlimited.
- Unlimited (₹1,499 a month): 8 hours of unlimited AI every day from your first request. The status bar shows how long is left, then a slow mode that never cuts you off, resetting at 5:00 AM IST.
- Every free account can claim one free Unlimited day — 8 hours — from the status bar.
- When your credits run out inside the window, the assistant shows ⚡ unlimited or 🐢 slow beside the tier picker, so you always know which model is answering.
- Your account now stays signed in on one computer at a time; signing in on another asks this one to sign in again.
- The app's watermark shows the crenya ai mark again in light and dark themes.
1.4.8-r56
The first crenya ai release.
- The app is called crenya ai. The bundle, the Dock, the window title, the menu bar and About all read it, and the Mac helper processes were renamed to match so the app still launches cleanly.
- crenya Dark and crenya White are rebuilt on the crenya screen design system: cobalt as the only accent, graphite surfaces, hairline borders, and red, green and orange kept for errors, success and warnings. Every syntax colour is checked for WCAG AA contrast against the editor background before a theme is allowed to ship.
- The editor and terminal ask for SF Mono first, falling back to Menlo when it is not installed. IBM Plex Mono is no longer bundled.
- The AI panel, the launcher and onboarding are on the same tokens as the themes, so the chat and the editor finally look like one product.
- Updates: the app now waits 6 hours after a release instead of 5 days, and your own Check for Updates ignores that wait entirely.
- Upgrading keeps everything. Settings, history and your signed-in session carry over — no Keychain prompt, and settings.json is untouched.
- Signed, notarized and stapled by Apple, so it opens like any other Mac app rather than asking you to override Gatekeeper.
1.4.8-r64 is the current release; on a Mac the app updates itself within 6 hours of a new one. Download it.
